During the previous week (July 23rd to August 1st, 2018), Whiteflag International team had a great productive week in Malta, which brought us many successful meetings, new collaborations in a positive and professional atmosphere. As the most significant ones, we would like to highlight the meetings with the President of Malta, H.E. Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, Minister Mr. Konrad Mizzi from the Ministry for Tourism, representatives from Prime Minister Office and the cabinet of Minister for the Environment, Sustainable Development, and Climate Change.
Whiteflag International is proud to announce that the country of Malta, a real jewel in the centre of the Mediterranean Sea, has been awarded one more White Flag. The official award ceremony took place on July 31st 2018 at the Mgarr Ix-Xini beach (Island of Gozo), in the presence of Dr. Justyne Caruana, Minister for Gozo, Ms. Vicky Xuereb, Director of the EcoGozo Regional Development, Mr. Kristijan Curavic, OACM President and WF Int. CEO, Mr. Steve Abela, Head of Foreign Affairs, and our hardworking Whiteflag International divers. This certification is a great resume of the previous certifications in Malta - Wied iz-Zurrieq (March 2018), and the Golden Bay (June 2018).
This is a very beginning of launching the global campaign of rebranding Malta as the leading top environmental tourist destination, in which we are starting to engage the corporate sector.
