Plava (Blue) Beach in Vodice became a proud owner of the White Flag - the global environmental symbol for clean water surfaces. Whiteflag International, in partnership with Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and GUWAA (Global Underwater Awareness Association), was established in order to protect all water life. GUWAA’s president, Mr. Kristijan Curavić, handed the White Flag to the mayoress of Vodice, Mrs. Branka Juričev Martinčev.
"We are proud to say that we are one of the few places in the Republic of Croatia that received the White Flag as an international sign of purity of the underwater world. We believe this will attract even more tourists in the upcoming season." – Mayoress, Mrs. Branka Juričev Martinčev, told about raising the White Flag at Plava (Blue) Beach in Vodice.
