Big recognition for Croatia Airlines

Croatia Airlines received the White Flag for the project of cleaning the seabed in the area of the Žaborić Beach near Šibenik, which was cleaned this summer by the professional divers from GUWAA association. At the same time, they began running a promotional film of the White Flag, in order to spread public awareness of the project.

"Croatia Airlines has, for 25 years continuously, invested in the protection and preservation of the ecosystem by promoting environmentally responsible action, as well as the introduction of many technical and technological improvements in the business." said Krešimir Kučko, CEO of Croatia Airlines.

He added that, despite the popular belief, aircraft cause less polluting than cars. For example, the Airbus 320, from Zagreb to Split, emits about 36 pounds of carbon dioxide per passenger, and a passenger car, on the same route, emits about 46 kilograms.
