The importance of preservation and protection has been recognized by the Municipality of Bol and Bol Tourist board, so Zlatni Rat becomes the owner of the White Flag. Mayor Tihomir Marinković was handed the White Flag by Daniel Azouar, the vice president of the WhiteFlag International in Norway and 30 other countries around the world.

"We are delighted that Zlatni Rat, as the most beautiful beach in Croatia (but also in Europe), got the character and all the values that the White Flag represents! This is proof that the sea and the seabed of this beach are clean! OACM divers have been doing a wonderful job! It is a pleasure to have this kind of co-workers in the process of maintenance and care of our most precious treasure - water. ", said the Mayor of Bol, Tihomir Marinkovic.
