Hotel Split in Podstrana became a member of the White Flag family that cares about the sea and seabed. OACM (Ocean Alliance Conservation Member) has awarded the White Flag to hotel Split for local action and global contribution to the purity of the sea and seabed.

Custody of the sea and seabed, caring about its living world and man's safer and more pleasant stay in it, was shown by hotel Split in Podstrana, which was supported by Mayor of Podstrana Mladen Bartulović and Podstrana Tourist Board.

- The natural sequence of our green business was to protect the main motive of why guests come to Dalmatia. And that's our sea! The White Flag is our leverage to move forward! - Says the manager of hotel Split, Mladen Tomić.

The solemn awarding of the White Flag was followed by the underwater photography exhibition ‘Touch with the sea’ by photographer Hrvoje Paštar.

Guests and visitors of the Podstrana beach toured through photos and personal submarine dives. Every year in seas, rivers, and lakes, thousands of tons of waste are thrown and cleaned much less. To change this ratio, OACM divers are systematically working all year to reduce the worrying amount of waste.
